Having grown to 120 people in just over 3 years, joining Ergo will underpin this expansion and permit the company to expand our offerings across new markets and services. With a wealth of experience in delivering cloud solutions, managed services and IT resourcing, Ergo is a key supplier to hundreds of large organisations across Ireland, the UK and USA. BoatyardX joins forces with Ergo to accelerate growth

Dublin, 18th November 2022: BoatyardX has today announced that is has been acquired by Ergo, Ireland’s largest privately-owned Irish IT services company. The acquisition will accelerate BoatyardX’s rapid growth as it continues to help organisations build or re-build products and deliver enhanced experiences and products for its customers in North and South America, Europe, Northern Africa and South-East Asia. While BoatyardX will join as an Ergo company, it will retain its autonomy and continue to operate under the BoatyardX brand at its office locations in Dublin, Romania and Colombia.
Today’s acquisition also aligns with Ergo’s plans to further deepen its software development competencies, enabling it to meet a growing demand for bespoke business critical applications and to build new products that address emerging market opportunities.
Originally developed as part of Shipyard Technology Ventures, BoatyardX was founded in 2019 and quickly established a reputation for future-proofing businesses with robust open-source software and world-class UI/UX design. BoatyardX has developed significant expertise building cloud based custom software for clients in FinTech, Payments, e-Commerce and IoT sectors.
An international venture, BoatyardX uses leading-edge cloud-native technology to design, build and launch secure and scalable software solutions for customers in North and South America, Europe, Northern Africa and South-East Asia. BoatyardX’s 120-strong multidisciplinary team will see Ergo grow to 700 IT professionals across the globe.
