What is your role at BoatyardX and what does a typical day look like for you?
Global Head of Sales. A typical day is packed full of learning. I am learning from our clients about the problems they are trying to solve and how they think digital can play a part in the solution. The conversations are very collaborative. It’s critical we have a strong understanding of the client’s problem/opportunity before we turn our attention towards the solution.
What challenges have you faced in your role and how have you overcome them?
To start, challenges are good as they result in growth! We pose challenging questions to our clients to ensure they are “building the right thing” that helps drive their desired business outcomes and provides value for their customers. It’s not always easy but its central to our success and more importantly the success of our clients!
What have been your proudest achievements while working at BoatyardX?
It’s early days for my tenure at BoatyardX but I am very proud to be in the company of such talented individuals. I get the opportunity to represent these individuals in our initial touchpoints with clients and I hope I do them proud!
Now spread across 6 locations, Cluj, Iasi and Brasov (Romania), Bogota (Colombia), Dublin (Ireland) and Chicago (US), the BoatyardX team currently exceeds 120 people and continues to grow.
With customers in North and South America, Europe, Northern Africa and South-East Asia, the team spans the key working timezones. Expertise is enhanced across the teams through establishing technical competency groups led by experienced leaders, charged with ensuring best practice and efficient learning across all the organisation.
